Intro to Medical Terminology

Medical terminology is the first step toward a career in the healthcare field or simply better understanding your family’s medical visits. No prior experience is necessary. This comprehensive course introduces the specialized language of medicine through root words, prefixes, suffixes, abbreviations, and word building techniques. Participants will also gain a basic understanding of medical billing and coding terminology.

After successfully completing the open-book exam included in the workbook provided in class, participants will earn a Certificate of Completion.

This course is taught by longtime educator LeeAnne Krusemark and credentialed medical professional Vanessa Grinnell, RRT.

This is a live virtual and interactive class. Participants need internet and a device with camera, microphone and speakers. Participants will receive a digital PDF download handout along with the link to join prior to class. Look to your email a few days prior to class for the information.
